SIerからユーザー企業へ――キャリアを変えた決断 ——これまでのキャリアについて教えてください。 私のキャリアは富士通のシステムエンジニアとして始まりました。学生時代は文系でしたが、コンピューターへの強い関心からIT系の仕事を選び、ほぼゼロからのスタートとなりました。 配属先は物流業の大手顧客で、新人研修を終えてわずか3カ月後には徹夜で働いていました。当時のSEはそういうものでしたが、がむしゃらにお客様に食らいつき、あらゆることを吸収しながら進んでいく姿勢は、このころに培われたように思います。 富士通では物流領域の複数のお客様を担当しながらシステム導入に携わり、その後、物流ソリューションの統合というグループ横断的な取り組みにも関わりました。2010年頃からはアイデアソンやハッカソンといった新ビジネス創出の活動にも参画し、イノベーションの領域へと踏み出しました。 その後、当時の上司からの声かけがきっかけとなり、ミツカングループへ転籍しました。富士通に骨を埋めるつもりでいた私には大きな転機でしたが、多くのベンダーのトップの方々と直接対話できた経験はとても大きなものでした。 2021年8月に現職の日本化薬へ入社しました。ミツカンでの約5年半を経て56歳を迎えるタイミングで、「自分がどう評価されるか、もう一度世の中に問い直したい」という思いが生まれ、ユーザー側から日本の企業変革に貢献したいという信念のもと、現職を選びました。 最大の成果は「人と人のつながり」 ──これまでのキャリアにおける最も大きな功績をお教えください。 これまでの最大の実績を一言で語るのは難しいのですが、3つの局面から振り返ってみたいと思います。 富士通時代の大きな仕事としては、グループ内でバッティングしていた複数の物流ソリューションを全社で統合する取り組みが挙げられます。多岐にわたる関係者からコンセンサスを形成する過程で、調整力と俯瞰的な視点の重要性を深く学びました。 ミツカングループでは、グローバル IT 企画部長として、日米英の3拠点のIT企画を担当することになりました。2017年にWannaCryというランサムウェアが猛威を振るったことから、日米欧3局で事業継続を担保するバックアップ体制のガバナンスを構築し、同時期に、グローバルでOffice 365のコミュニケーション環境を統一するプロジェクトも推進しました。英語が得意ではない私にとって、自分を追い込むような挑戦でしたが、人的ネットワークを地道に構築したことがプロジェクトの推進力になりました。 日本化薬では、20年ほど大きな更新が行われていなかったERPを刷新し、2025年1月に本番稼働させたことが大きな実績といえるかもしれません。 ただ、こうした個別プロジェクトの成否以上に、私が最も大切にしてきた実績は「人と人のつながりを丁寧に紡いできたこと」です。ベンダーとの関係を発注・受注の主従関係ではなく、対等なパートナーシップとして築いてきた姿勢こそが、すべての活動の土台になっていると感じています。 ERP再建プロジェクトで試された実行力 ──大きな実績を上げるまでにはどのようなチャレンジがあり、それは現職でどう生かされていますか。私のキャリアの根底にあるのは、富士通の先人が残した「とにかくやってみろ」という言葉です。入社前にすでに退任されていた元会長、小林大祐さんの言葉ですが、この精神は一貫して私の行動規範となっています。まず動いてみること、そこから学ぶこと——この姿勢が今の私の土台になっています。 富士通時代には、入社3年目でありながら顧客の役員と直接渡り合う場面もありました。「もう3年もうちの仕事をやっているんだからわかっているよね」と問われたとき、「当然です」と答えるような覚悟で臨んでいました。それだけの責任感と、富士通の総力を引き出してお客さまに届けるという使命感が、当時の私を成長させてくれたと思っています。 現職でのERPマイグレーションは、その集大成ともいえる挑戦でした。プロジェクトが難航する中でERPベンダーの幹部との接点を意図的に作り、「問題を一緒に解決しましょう」と直接持ちかけました。導入ベンダーの幹部がERPベンダー側の幹部と同期だったという偶然のご縁も重なり、問題解決のスピードが加速しました。全体では一時期数か月に渡る遅れとなったプロジェクトを年度内にどうにか挽回できたのは、まさに挑み続ける姿勢と、人のつながりがあって実現できた結果だと思っています。 富士通時代に関わったFUJI…
